If you are an art lover, don't mind getting your hands dirty and you love free shiny things, Surasi Kusolwong's interactive exhibits might just be for you.
You see, in and amongst the 13 tons of garbage (actually discarded yarn) that covers the floor of the Bangkok Art and Culture center are 12 gold necklaces planted by the artist himself. Any patron that happens to find the necklace gets to keep it and take it home in a special jewelry box with the artist's signature.
Whether or not this art is pretty much to you; but apparently dumping a bunch of yarn on the floor and having people look through it for jewelry is supposed to make grand statement about the meltdown of the world economy or something. In this editor's humble opinion, its more likely that the meltdown of the world economy is what drives people to look through piles of yarn for gold necklace in the first place.
